Ferrari is auctioning an exclusive LaFerrari Aperta in aid of Save the Children

To mark the 70th anniversary of the prestigious Italian firm, Ferrari has designed a final unit of the LaFerrari Aperta model that will be auctioned on 9 September at the “Leggenda e Passione” event. The proceeds from the sale of the vehicle are expected to reach 4 million euros, and will go entirely to the NGO Save the Children.

This exclusive LaFerrari Aperta is number 210 in the model’s series, and with its sale the brand expects to achieve a record-breaking sum. The vehicle is a spider version of the celebrated LaFerrari hybrid supercar.

The model has been designed in Rosso Fuoco Metallic colour, with double stripes in Bianco Italia running along the upper part of its carbon-fibre bodywork. For the interior, Ferrari has opted for carbon-fibre trim and black Alcantara upholstery with red leather inserts. So far there are no further technical details of the vehicle, as the brand has decided these will be revealed at the auction.

“Leggenda e Passione” is one of the most important auctions in the automotive industry. Organised by Ferrari and with the collaboration of the specialists at RM Sotheby’s, it will take place in September at the firm’s circuit in Fiorano. In addition to this iconic model, the event will also auction other exclusive cars, such as a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 from 1969 made of aluminium, of which only 5 examples were sold, or a Ferrari 333 SP from 1994, whose price is around 3 million euros.

The model to be auctioned on 9 September is expected to be the most expensive example of the series, as happened with the number 400 Enzo and the number 500 LaFerrari coupé, also built exclusively and which were used for charitable causes.
