Ferrari Purosangue, are you there?
Ferrari has already taken its first steps towards the production of the Purosangue, its first SUV. This is reflected in a very interesting test mule

The most prestigious names in the history of the supercar sector have succumbed to the SUV segment. Clear examples are the Lamborghini Urus and the Maserati Levante, two models that, despite having a body that is very different from the rest of the range, keep their spirit intact. In this situation is Ferrari, a brand that has already confirmed that, sooner or later, we will see an SUV in its lineup. Although we will still have to endure a tedious wait, it seems the first test mule of the Purosangue has already been spotted, the name this new model from the cavallino brand will receive.
Ferrari has undergone a strong evolution with its range of vehicles, but always remaining faithful to a layout that has been repeated successfully generation after generation. The V8 and V12 engines have always been responsible for bringing to life front- or mid-engined supercars, but now they will be tasked with powering an SUV, a segment never before tackled by the Italian marque.
To date, little is known about this new high-performance crossover beyond its name and that its engine will have a central front position, but this video may be giving us a preview of what the Ferrari Purosangue will be in the not-too-distant future. This brief but intense short film shows a test mule which quickly tries to hide from the puzzled eyes watching it.

It is true that we only get a few seconds to observe the supposed Purosangue, but they are more than enough to notice certain details that confirm there is something different about this prototype. At first glance we notice that the prancing horse brand has turned to the body of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, the most practical model in the brand’s history to date.
If we pay attention, we can see that this unit has a much higher suspension, which gives the body a height that differs from that of the standard GTC4Lusso. This quickly leads us to conclude that these are indeed the first steps of the Purosangue towards the production line.

For the moment Ferrari maintains complete silence regarding this future model, but rumours suggest the Italian firm could be developing a V6 engine to move its first SUV with ease. Either way, Ferrari is already revving its engines to make room in its range for the Purosangue, a vehicle that seeks to keep its supercar DNA intact while applying it to the SUV segment.
