Ferrari unveils the first images of the new Ferrari 812 VS, the most radical version of the Italian supercar with significant improvements.
Ferrari has a habit of offering even more radical versions of its supercars, especially those with mid-mounted V8 engines and front-mounted V12s. Given these two premises, it was more than obvious that sooner or later the colossal Ferrari 812 Superfast would succumb to the most radical department at Ferrari, Centro Stile Ferrari, which has been responsible for creating what is colloquially known as the Ferrari 812 VS, or in other words, the most powerful front-mounted V12 supercar in the brand’s history.
Over the past few months we have witnessed various test mules hiding the Cavallino Rampante we are discussing today, as well as the leak of its name, VS, which refers to Versione Speciale. Today, the Italian house gives us the first images of what will surely be the last carrier of an atmospheric V12 in history, although some information will be kept under wraps until May 5.
That’s right, Ferrari has not yet revealed all the details of its latest supercar, which keeps us somewhat intrigued. For now, we can make out the styling, where a much more prominent front bumper sits, flanked by two imposing air intakes and a more aggressive splitter. New rear quarter panels also stand out, along with a rear end where a practically fully enclosed boot lid takes centre stage to improve aerodynamics, and a more pronounced diffuser houses two rectangular exhaust outlets.

At the same time, the Cavallino house has confirmed that there are few differences compared to the cabin of the standard 812. Given this, only improvements in materials and the removal of some of the ornamentation we already knew are expected, in pursuit of a significant weight reduction.
But one of the crucial changes in the Ferrari 812 VS is found in its mechanical section, which features the same 6.5-litre atmospheric V12. However, this time it produces 830 CV of power, that is, 30 CV more than the standard 812.

However, we will have to wait until the aforementioned May 5 to learn every detail of the new 812 VS. In this way, Ferrari establishes what is so far the most radical supercar in its range, with the permission of the future F8 “Pista” and the successor to the LaFerrari.
