Fiat 500 60th Anniversary: a new special edition to celebrate its 60th birthday

The 4th of July is approaching, and at Fiat they are already preparing to celebrate yet another anniversary of the iconic 500, but this one is all the more special as it marks 60 years since its birth. As on previous occasions, to mark its birthday, Fiat has prepared a special edition of its 500 model, this time drawing inspiration from the Italian movement known as Dolce Vita.

This model joins the extensive list of special editions of the Fiat 500, the most recent being the luxurious 500 Riva. But be careful not to confuse this model with the Fiat 500 60th Anniversary presented at the Geneva Motor Show, as the aesthetic changes differ from this new special edition, and its orientation was toward a more exclusive character.

The Fiat 500 Anniversario we are discussing now will be available in the two-box, convertible version. In both, the exterior aesthetic changes will remind us of certain key features of the original 500, such as the two new body colours, Verde Riviera and Naranja Sicilia. There are also reminiscences in the chrome details on the bonnet and mirror caps, the Fiat logos, and the beautiful 16-inch vintage-style alloy wheels. All of this is topped off with the Anniversario logo on the tailgate.

Inside, an effort has also been made to recall the style of the 1960s, without losing the modern and innovative touch of today. The seats are upholstered in a horizontal stripe design that constantly recalls the design of yesteryear, with piping and an embroidered 500 logo, matched to the body colours. The Anniversario logo has also been embroidered on the floor mats.

But despite constantly striving to recall the original 500, the Fiat 500 Anniversario is equipped with the latest in comfort and connectivity, such as the Uconnect™ Link Plus Pack, which includes the 7-inch TFT screen, the 7-inch Uconnect LIVE radio, and ready-to-use preconfiguration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Mechanically, the engine chosen for this version will be the 1.2 8V, which delivers 69 CV.

The Fiat 500 Anniversario is scheduled to go on sale on its birthday, 4 July, although orders are already being accepted from today at a price that starts at €12,150, with discounts and financing included.
