Fiat 500 Riva, the elegance of a luxury boat in the Italian city car

It was the year 1957 when one of the most popular vehicles of all time was launched in Italy. The Fiat 500 arrived on the market, a true revolution for Italians, who could finally have a car to get around, at a very good price, and that put them on the roads. A milestone that in Spain can be compared with what happened with the Seat 600, a very similar model.
After many years, Fiat revived this model in 2007, updating it and giving new life to this car, which remains a popular way of getting around the city and in places where little is demanded of the car. For its part, around that same time the Aquarama was built, a fast motorboat born from the design table of Riva, an Italian pleasure boat company that sought to convey that same feeling to its sector.
Nautical elements to turn the Fiat 500 into an “urban boat”
To celebrate this shared anniversary, Riva and Fiat have joined forces to bring to life the Fiat 500 Riva, a version of the famous city car that seeks to combine both concepts. We have not yet been able to see it, but we have a promotional image in which only the distinctive and well-known shape of the Fiat 500 can be made out. What will we find beneath this tarpaulin?
Well, they say we will see a body dressed in the color Evening Blue, which is also present on the Aquariva boat, the latest model from the nautical company, which pays homage to the boat that served the same purpose that the Fiat 500 represented.
But the nautical image of the Fiat 500 Riva does not stop at the external details. That naval atmosphere can also be enjoyed inside. The dashboard has been built with a mix of mahogany and maple, in the image and likeness of the boat. The nautical ambience can also be felt in other points of the car’s design, making it unmistakable and setting it apart from the other versions of the model, without losing its essence.
And all of this we know without yet being able to see images of the car. What will the new Fiat 500 Riva look like under this tarpaulin? In a few days, we will be able to see it in detail.
