The automotive world is shaped by the various events held throughout the year on every continent. Now it is the turn of the Dubai Motor Show, where we will see some of the models that will reach the market of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Fiat wants to be present in this vast market not only with cars, but also with commercial vehicles. That is why its proposal in the form of a pick-up has not surprised us.

The Fiat Fullback is one of these vans with an open cargo bed, whose name comes from one of the positions in American football. This alone already suggests that it is a robust van, built for hard work and set to surprise us with performance suited to that purpose. This pick-up belongs to the mid-capacity segment of this type of vehicle, which leads sales in the region.

The Fiat Professional pick-up is ideal both for professional work and for recreational use

This model is geared towards professional use, but it is also useful for recreational and leisure purposes. It will be offered in four configurations which, despite their different sizes, would share a maximum height of 1,780 mm, a width of 1,870 mm and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. In terms of length, the “Single Cab” version measures 5,155 mm; the “Extended” version will measure 5,275 mm, while the “Double Cab” version will reach 5,285 mm.

The size of the cab also varies between the different versions. The model with the greatest load capacity is the “Single Cab“, where the cargo bed reaches 2,265 mm and records the highest payload capacity, 1,100 kg. The model with the lowest load capacity is the “Double Cab“, where it drops to 1,520 mm.

The engines fitted to this Fiat model in the Middle East and Africa will be a 2.5-litre diesel block with outputs ranging between 110 and 178 CV, and a petrol unit of 132 CV. In the versions to be sold in Europe it will have a 2.4-litre aluminium turbodiesel engine with an output of 150 or 180 CV, paired with a five-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual. Four-wheel drive will be available alongside rear-wheel drive across the whole region.
