FIAT Panda: this could be the affordable electric future of the brand
The brand, part of the Stellantis group, could launch the electric FIAT Panda in 2025, in the A segment or the larger B segment.

The market for affordable electric cars within reach of most potential buyers is growing. The arrival of the Dacia Spring has shown that this technology is not only for upper-mid-range and high-end cars, since city cars can also be a good option. So it is no surprise that the next generation of the FIAT 500 will become electric and go up against the Spring.
The current model arrived in 2012 and has received many updates and changes to bring it up to date. The Italian brand is expected to keep the current generation in production until 2025, when it will be replaced by an electric version.

The new FIAT Panda has all the credentials to remain a benchmark in the A segment, aimed at small urban vehicles. The features of this new electric Panda have not been revealed and will likely take some time to become public. That said, it is believed that it will be built on the platform of the Fiat 500 electric, so as to rely on an already proven base that is known to work well.
Another possibility under consideration is the e-CMP platform, which is the basis for the Peugeot e-208 and the Opel Corsa-e. This would make the FIAT Panda grow a little and move into the B segment. In this case, it would go up against the new Renault 5 electric, another of the electric city cars arriving shortly.
This change may be driven by synergies between the different Stellantis brands. Citroën plans to launch a vehicle similar to the Panda, which could replace the Citroën C3, so this segment would be occupied by that model.
As for styling, the new FIAT Panda is expected to take its image from the Centiventi Concept, which is very similar to the Panda but with an updated and modernised design. Another possibility is that the model name will change, although it is too early to say. If the plans hold for 2025, it will not be until the end of next year or early 2024 that the brand reveals all the information possible.
