Fisker Pear: 1,500 reservations for an electric car we know nothing about
Fisker claims it has already received more than 1,500 reservations for the Pear, the new city electric car it will launch in 2024 and of which we know no details at all.

Reservations for cars that are still some way off can be rather eye-catching and are often inflated a little. Or quite a lot, if we look closely. In the case of the Fisker Pear, it is somewhat curious that the brand reports just over 1,500 reservations when there are still a little over two years before it is ready and on the market.
This 4.5-metre model will be mass-produced and aims to be ready for sale in 2024 at a competitive price. That is, at least, what the brand hopes to achieve. It is a small company that is only beginning to become visible and will be competing against more popular and well-known manufacturers, so these reservation figures may well seem quite spectacular.

To put your name on the reservation list you only have to pay the required 250 dollars. After that, the company will contact the buyer and keep them updated with all the information on the development and manufacturing of the car. The final price of the car will be, at least according to the company’s announcement, 29,900 dollars in the United States.

This will allow it to compete with similar vehicles whose prices are perhaps not so competitive. That said, the brand’s popularity is not the same as that of Volkswagen, for example, so on equal terms, the ID.3 will probably have more pull than this model.
The model is called Pear, which stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution, and will benefit from Foxconn’s Hon Hai EV platform. The vehicle will be assembled at the plant the company has bought from Lordstown, located in Ohio. In this way, it will join forces with the Chinese multinational and can move forward with greater confidence alongside it.
The specifications have not been made public, so the reservation figure is all the stranger, if anything. The design of the vehicle is not yet known either, although according to Fisker, it is a nimble, urban electric vehicle. We look forward to seeing what Fisker has in store with this vehicle, which will be quite different from the Fisker Ocean we are also waiting for, but which we have at least already seen.
