Foldable electric bicycle Peugeot eF01, the perfect accessory for the 5008
Coinciding with the launch in our country of the Peugeot 5008, the French brand is putting the eF01 foldable electric bicycle on the market.

Peugeot is not only one of the oldest car manufacturers in existence, but it is also a pioneer in the bicycle sector. In 1892, the brand of the PSA Group designed the first foldable bicycle for the French Navy, led by Captain Henri Gerard. 125 years later, taking advantage of the launch in our country of the brand’s new SUV, the Peugeot 5008, the French brand is putting the eF01 hybrid foldable bicycle on the market, the greatest cycling advance of recent years.
Presented at the latest Paris Motor Show, the eF01 was designed by the French brand’s design unit, the Peugeot Design Lab. The bicycle weighs 17 kilograms and can be folded in less than 10 seconds.

Thanks to its low weight, the eF01 reaches speeds of up to 20 km/h and its range is 30 kilometres. The bicycle draws its energy from a lithium-ion battery that can be recharged through the electrical grid or by pedalling via kinetic energy.
In addition, the eF01 bicycle uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology, which allows the user to communicate with it through a smartphone. Thanks to the MyPeugeot app, data on the range and battery charge level of this bicycle can be checked. This information can be consulted from the vehicle itself – the Peugeot 5008 – through the infotainment system, or from the Android Auto device fitted to the latest models of the brand.

The eF01 bicycle can be ordered at any of Peugeot’s official dealerships in Spain, and can be purchased for 2,000 euros or included as equipment on the top-of-the-range versions – GT or GT Line – of the new Peugeot 5008. For this latter option, the 5008 can install a charging station with a 12-volt socket in its boot; thanks to this device, charging of the eF01 can be completed in approximately two hours while the vehicle is in motion.
