Ford Bronco Raptor 2022: more than 400 CV of off-road fun for the most capable version of the Bronco
With more than 400 CV and specific tuning, the most radical version of the Bronco is unveiled, ending the long-awaited wait

Over the last few months, we have received numerous photographs, rumours and all kinds of information about what the Ford Bronco Raptor would look like. One of the most anticipated launches of the past year, which has finally just been officially presented by the North American brand.
The new Bronco Raptor 2022 boasts a new grille with the letters Ford presiding over its front end, new LED daytime running lights, a new, much sturdier and more muscular skid plate, tow hooks positioned above this protector, and a much more prominent overall appearance, as its height has increased by more than 30 centimetres and its width by almost 25 centimetres.

Capabilities of another level
Looking at its side profile, you can see its new 17-inch Beadlock-style wheels fitted with BFGoodrich K02 37-inch tyres, wider plastic-coloured wheel arches and Fox shock absorbers that offer 60% more suspension travel for the front axle and 40% more for the rear compared with the conventional versions of the Bronco.
In addition to this major improvement, Ford has also focused on its new cooling and injection system designed to withstand extreme temperatures, its new axles that allow a wider track, and reinforcements to the chassis that improve its torsional rigidity.

Technological, highly connected and the most powerful
Setting aside the tuning of this radical off-roader, Ford has also improved the interior of the new Raptor with a fully digital instrument cluster of 12 inches, which joins the 12-inch touchscreen of the infotainment system with the SYNC 4 system.
Besides this, other novelties include new Black Onyx Neo suede seats with laser perforation, a thicker sports steering wheel and magnesium paddle shifters which, as well as adding a very special touch, help save weight.

As could not be otherwise, the brand has also chosen to equip this Raptor with driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and the 360-degree camera, which is key for fording rivers or driving along steep, narrow tracks.
As for its engine, the new Bronco Raptor becomes the most powerful and capable version of the range thanks to its 3.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, which pushes its output above 400 CV, although we must wait for Ford to confirm the official performance figures. This engine will be paired with a ten-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox and, of course, a 4×4 traction system.
And its arrival?
According to Ford, the first units of the Bronco Raptor will arrive from this coming summer, and its order book will be open from next March.
