Frankfurt Show: Land Rover DC100 Defender Concept

Kicking off the idea of a specific variant for the Land Rover Defender, which Tata has decided to liven up the model, in Frankfurt we will see the first concept of this new Defender, called DC100, the continuation of the 90.

As a true concept, this DC100 “will explore the potential future direction of the Defender”, according to Gerry McGovern, its chief designer who has already had a great deal to do with the concepts of the LRX and the developments of the Range Rover Sport.

McGovern stated that this Defender will be only the beginning of the project, which will possibly have more concepts to show over the next four years. The replacement for the Defender is being thought through very thoroughly, and it is not easy to replace a vehicle as versatile, well known and esteemed as the Defender, even though the DC100 seems to be nothing more than a “90” with some very debatable updating changes, by the way.
