Genesis expands its European operations to a fourth country on the continent
The first exclusive Genesis stores in Italian territory will be two and will open this very spring, to be followed by an indeterminate number more throughout the year.
Genesis, the premium brand of Hyundai Motor Group, has just taken a new step in its European expansion by officially launching operations in Italy. Genesis vehicles are now available in four European markets, following their debut in 2021 in Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The Genesis range in Italy will initially consist of three models: the GV60, a compact luxury SUV recently updated; the GV70 electric, a larger SUV and the brand’s flagship; as well as the G80 electric, a luxury saloon with an extended wheelbase and the highest level of equipment.

In Italy, Genesis is taking a selective approach to its distribution, under a specialised store model that prioritises strategic locations to thereby strengthen its brand image. The first two exclusive stores will open their doors this very spring in the cities of Rome and Padua. In the coming months, the company plans to continue expanding its sales network throughout the year, also establishing a complete and fully dedicated after-sales service.
“Genesis is an exciting brand with very solid foundations, and we have a long-term commitment to grow in Europe. We are delighted to arrive in Italy, a country with a great automotive tradition, exceptional design and customers who are truly demanding of premium brands.”
Genesis will also arrive in Spain this same year
As you probably already know, Genesis’s European headquarters are located in the German city of Frankfurt. Following the Italian debut, Genesis’s expansion across Europe will also extend to France, the Netherlands and Spain, thereby making the brand’s interest in carving out a place in the European premium vehicle market crystal clear.

The choice of these markets is no coincidence: by choosing any of them, the South Korean premium brand seeks to attract an audience that values the combination of advanced technology, refinement and performance Zero Emissions. This strategy reinforces the brand’s global positioning, born in Seoul in 2015, which continues to grow relentlessly in the competitive automotive luxury market.
