Hispano Suiza Maguari HS1 GTC, the model from the "other" Hispano Suiza
The Swiss company Hispano Suiza Automobilmanufaktur AG shares its name with the Spanish one, but they have nothing to do with each other. This supercar is its proposal.

Although the Hispano Suiza company is based in Spain, another company has chosen this legendary name to offer a supercar model. Hispano Suiza Automobilmanufaktur AG is based in Switzerland, has no connection with Hispano Suiza, the Spanish brand, and has just unveiled the Hispano Suiza Maguari HS1 GTC, which it has presented in the form of CGI images.
The supercar was first shown in 2019 as a concept. It was based on an earlier concept, presented in 2010. The production version was supposed to become reality in 2020, but the pandemic has delayed the arrival of the model until now. Now, at last, this model is arriving, developed in Munich.

Differences from the 2019 concept
When it reaches the road, the Hispano Suiza Maguari HS1 GTC will have some small differences from the concept. The exhausts and air intakes are slightly different. It keeps the 22-inch front wheels and 23-inch rear wheels, fitted with 285/35 ZR22 tyres at the front and 335/30 ZR23 at the rear.

It measures 5.1 metres in length, 2.1 metres in width and 1.25 metres in height, so its size gives it a powerful, sporty look. Its weight is listed at 1,890 kg, partly thanks to its aluminium chassis with carbon fibre. The bodywork is aluminium.
The front-mounted 5.5-litre twin-turbo V10 engine produces 1,184 CV and a peak torque of 1,100 Nm. These figures are somewhat higher than those offered by the previous prototype. The seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox sends the power to the rear wheels.
The manufacturer’s estimate gives a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 2.8 seconds and will propel the car to an electronically limited top speed of 360 km/h. It comes with 440 mm carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers, and it will also have the Active Hybrid Lifting System.
This supercar will be limited to 300 units, built in batches of 50 per year over six years. Hispano Suiza Automobilmanufaktur AG plans to sell the V10-powered supercar in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
