Historic milestone! Porsche reaches 100,000 Taycan units produced
Three years after its commercial launch, the popular 100% electric model from Porsche has reached 100,000 units produced in Zuffenhausen

The market launch of the Porsche Taycan back in 2019 was a historic moment both for the Stuttgart brand and for the automotive industry, as it became the first fully electric model from the company to arrive without losing an ounce of its genuine Porsche DNA.
Now, the brand is celebrating, as on November 7th, the 100,000th Taycan rolled off the assembly line at the Zuffenhausen plant, sporting an attractive Neptune Blue colour on a Taycan Turbo S destined for a lucky customer in the United Kingdom.
In its three years on sale, the US market has become the main market for Porsche’s electric sports car, followed by China and the United Kingdom, with a range offering up to five available powertrain options, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and three different body variants: Taycan saloon, Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo.

To celebrate this great milestone, the brand has decided to bring together three of the customers who have driven the most miles in their Taycan since acquiring it, who share their experience and favourite moments with their 100% electric Porsche.
Exemplary reliability
The first guest to share his experience was Jean-Huber Revolon, a transport entrepreneur who has covered more than 188,000 kilometres in his Taycan 4S since mid-August 2021, with daily distances of up to 1,200 kilometres, during which the Taycan has shown its reliability: as he stated, until now he had only had to replace one suspension sensor.
In second place, the owner who shared his experience behind the wheel of his Taycan was Guillaume Tajvorian, a 41-year-old pharmacist from Marseille who, since purchasing his Taycan 4S in June 2020, has driven no less than 113,977 kilometres, highlighting the model’s excellent ride comfort, while also confessing his weakness for the sound of the 911 Targa, which is also part of his garage.

An ideal travel companion
Finally, the third owner of a Porsche Taycan, though in this case of a Turbo, was Markus Kreutel, Head of Body Planning for Porsche in Zuffenhausen, Leipzig and Bratislava, and General Manager of Porsche Toolmaking in Schwarzenberg, Dubnica and Horna Streda, roles that require him to travel long distances frequently, and which have led him to cover exactly 134,911 kilometres between February 2021 and August 2022.
The German also highlighted, in addition to the low running costs compared with a combustion model, the build quality and durability, since after the distance covered, the battery still retained 91% of its original capacity.
The Porsche Taycan has been the most innovative model in terms of its production, since it began rolling off the assembly lines in 2019 it has been manufactured in a completely carbon-neutral way and under highly advanced standards of sustainability and digitalisation.
