Honda Series 0: the new generation of electric vehicles
The Honda Series 0 combines artificial intelligence, automated systems and an innovative, space-focused design to lead the future of electric mobility
At the CES 2025, Honda will unveil two prototypes of its highly anticipated Series 0 for the first time worldwide, a line of electric vehicles that will mark a before and after in the automotive industry starting in 2026 with the presentation of two new concepts, the Honda Saloon and the Honda Space Hub, which arrive with advanced technology, innovative design and a focus on sustainability.

The heart of the “Series 0”
Honda is betting on software-defined vehicles (SDVs) with the incorporation of its own operating system (OS), designed specifically to maximise connectivity and the vehicle’s functionality. This OS works together with an advanced System on a Chip (SoC), optimising the performance of automated driving, artificial intelligence and in-car entertainment functions.
The Series 0 turns the vehicle into a technology platform, where software will be as important as mechanics, ensuring constant updates and a personalised experience for the user.

Family design with a practical and innovative approach
One of the prototypes will showcase an MPV concept designed for the modern family. With a spacious interior that emulates a living room, this vehicle prioritises the comfort and well-being of its occupants. Large glazed surfaces flood the cabin with natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere connected to the outside.
The design also incorporates technologies such as augmented reality and intelligent assistants, offering an interactive and advanced experience that redefines what it means to travel as a family.

Innovative platform for electric vehicles
The Series 0 will be built on a completely new platform, which uses 2.0 GPa hot-stamped steel, ensuring a lightweight and highly resistant structure. This innovation allows a low and narrow design that optimises aerodynamics, improves road stability and promotes sporty driving.
The compact electric axle (e-Axle) stands out for reducing the size of the inverter by 40%, freeing up interior space without compromising performance. This is complemented by a thin battery that lowers the vehicle’s centre of gravity, improving both safety and dynamism.

More durable and efficient batteries
Honda promises that the Series 0 batteries will retain more than 90% of their capacity after ten years of use. This advance is possible thanks to advanced diagnostic systems that collect and analyse data from millions of vehicles of the brand.
To further improve energy efficiency, the vehicles will include an active aerodynamic system that automatically adjusts the deflectors according to speed, optimising energy consumption and ensuring greater road stability.

Sustainable and efficient production
The manufacturing of the Series 0 will be an example of sustainability. Honda will implement a 6,000-tonne mega-casting machine on its assembly line, which will reduce the number of parts required and optimise production processes. This approach also reflects the brand’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint, in line with global sustainability goals.
Automated driving and connectivity
Series 0 vehicles will be equipped with advanced automated driving systems, which combine artificial intelligence and machine learning to offer personalised assistance and improve road safety.
These functions will be integrated into the operating system of Honda, which will centralise control of all vehicle functions, from navigation to entertainment, ensuring a seamless experience adapted to the user’s needs
