Hyundai adds a new model to its range in Spain: the NEXO is now on sale

Hyundai has started 2026 with strength, at least as far as the Spanish market is concerned. While its range was already being renewed with the arrival of the new IONIQ 6, it is now doing the same with another model: the NEXO, an SUV with which the Korean brand intends to keep advancing hydrogen fuel cell technology, and which is already available in Spain, where it can be ordered.

Let us recall that for this new generation of the Hyundai NEXO, its size has been slightly altered, with a length that grows to 4,750 mm, although the width, height and wheelbase have remained the same. Its design has also been modified with futuristic lines, applying the “Art of Steel” language, characterised by angular lines, more pronounced volumes and horizontally designed doors that aim to reinforce a sense of solidity and give it the feel of a large SUV. All of this is complemented by details such as the striking HTWO LED headlights with four light points, together with the three-dimensional rear lights, as well as new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the new Hyundai NEXO, the brand has sought to give it a sense of higher quality while also being sustainable, thanks to the use of new materials and finishes. Technology has also been improved, with, for example, the new curved dual panoramic display, made up of two 12.3-inch screens that bring together all the instrumentation and the multimedia system. In addition, the centre console has also been modified and now features physical controls for basic and essential functions, along with a shift-by-wire gear selector.

The Hyundai NEXO will be offered in Spain in only two trim levels. As you can imagine, its entry-level trim, called Tecno, is already very well equipped with items such as the following:

Let us also recall that, mechanically, the Hyundai NEXO uses a new-generation PE (power electronics) system that doubles the battery’s output from 40 kW to 80 kW, combined with a more efficient FC (hydrogen fuel cell system) with a maximum gross output of 110 kW and a net system output of 94 kW. Combining them achieves a total power of 204 CV. Refuelling takes less than 5 minutes, barely longer than filling a petrol tank today, to achieve a range of 826 km according to the WLTP cycle.

The new Hyundai NEXO can now be ordered in Spain at a price of €71,000 in the Tecno trim, while the Style trim is available for €81,850.
