Hyundai Kona Iron Man, the special edition Tony Stark would drive

The worlds of cinema and the automotive industry have always been closely connected. Films have featured iconic cars, which they have turned into very popular vehicles, but they have also led the industry to rely on them to create special editions. Superhero movies are in fashion, and in them we see many cars that stand out. We have seen the Audi of Spider-Man or Iron Man, the Lexus and many more, but now we are going to be able to drive a Hyundai Kona based on the very Iron Man.

This model was born from the collaboration between Marvel and the South Korean brand, which some time ago signed an agreement so that the cars would appear in the films and special editions based on characters from the publisher and studio could be produced. The Hyundai Kona is transformed into an urban SUV clearly inspired by Tony Stark’s armour. Mainly, the front has been the part that has been modified the most so that it resembles Iron Man’s helmet. The front headlights have also received a design that tries to resemble the glowing eyes of the helmet. The rear light cluster has also changed and has a three-dimensional look to give it greater depth.

But these are not the only changes to the Hyundai Kona, since the character’s helmet is present in several places on the bodywork. The roof, the front wings of the car and the 18-inch alloy wheels are the places that carry that special mark certifying it as a special edition based on the character. On the lower part of the rear doors appears the Stark Industries logo, so everything feels closer to the character’s world. The D-pillar has also been redesigned to offer a different look, something that also happens with the front grille, which is finished in dark chrome.

The bodywork colour has received an “Iron Man” treatment, which uses a range of colours close to the red of the armour in combination with a matte grey tone. Inside, the Iron Man style conversion continues, starting with the instrument panel, which bears the signature of Tony Stark. The gear lever is also new, as is the Head-Up Display and the Kona’s main screen. All of this forms part of the special edition, which will have a limited number of units to maintain the exclusivity of this variant.
