If you're already thinking about your next getaways, count on the new Ford Transit Custom Nugget Plus
Thanks to its longer body and greater wheelbase, the new Ford Transit Custom Nugget offers greater possibilities
We already knew the standard wheelbase version of this camper van, which now opts for a larger interior volume called Ford Transit Custom Nugget Plus.
Camperised vehicles are in fashion. Social distancing and fear of Covid-19 infection in hotels have led most of us to live the strangest summer of our lives and to opt for ‘portable homes’, as is the case here.

With August coming to an end, the month of summer holidays par excellence in Spain, and with immense uncertainty about the coming months, including next summer, we bet that these vehicles will maintain this year’s boom. That is why we have already started considering future options in case SARS-CoV-2 remains present in our lives or, even better, in case those joining the camper trend are looking for new options, as is the case with this Ford Transit Custom Nugget with extended wheelbase and extending roof.
Pandemics aside, the living space of the fourth option among the camperised vans based on the Transit, for which the experience of the renowned specialist Westfalia was drawn upon, features a roof that folds and rises depending on interior use, offering a maximum height of 2.4 metres.

Furthermore, thanks to its greater wheelbase and a total length of 5.34 metres, this vehicle now offers a complete motorhome with a main L-shaped layout on the lower floor, which includes a living area, kitchen and bathroom with toilet and washbasin, and an upper one to accommodate the bedroom.
It also has two 42-litre water tanks. To top it off, this vehicle can become a wifi internet access point for up to 10 simultaneous connections and up to a maximum distance of 15 metres from the Ford Transit Custom Nugget Plus.
Although this configuration may seem even more resistant to air drag or heavier, the manufacturer assures that the Ford Transit Custom Nugget with long wheelbase and pop-up roof homologates fuel consumption 7 percent lower than the fixed-roof variant.
This is also due to the use of a 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine with either 130 or 185 CV, power managed through either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

For those interested in the Ford Transit Custom Nugget Plus for its qualities as a nomadic home, it is worth knowing that this vehicle will go on sale from next autumn.
It will be then, during October at the latest, when the price of the Ford Transit Custom Nugget Plus will be announced.
