Irmscher adds sportiness and greater interior personalisation to the new Opel Zafira Life

Although its exterior look is now more radical, Irmscher has made the Opel Zafira Life more versatile thanks to its i-Box interior module

Despite the boom in SUVs, Opel has no intention of abandoning the MPV segment, as became clear earlier this year when we were told about the new Opel Zafira Life, based on the Vivaro but designed primarily for transporting people. Although, at least for now, it will not have a more leisure-oriented version, it does have a good basis for a conversion in this direction.

This is something Irmscher must have thought about, the German tuner specialising in the PSA Group and other brands, which has used a kit created specifically for the occasion to give the Opel Zafira Life a much sportier look, one that is far from overdone, while also offering a more versatile vehicle that can now also be used by those who prefer a more “rugged” approach.

Although Irmscher only offers changes to the exterior, you can see how the new Opel Zafira Life benefits from a styling kit consisting of a wider and more aggressive new front bumper, new side skirts that also include stainless steel sill plates for easier access, oval-shaped exhaust outlets in either polished stainless steel or matt black finish, and a rear spoiler positioned just above the tailgate.

The exterior look is completed with side vinyl graphics and a wide selection of wheels to suit all tastes and give a more radical appearance, featuring a special two-tone polished finish. Furthermore, as you can see in the image, its height has been clearly lowered by 30 mm, all thanks to the installation of new dampers and springs that also give it greater composure on the road.

But for those who want to make the most of the new Opel Zafira Life, Irmscher offers a multifunction i-Box module, which is nothing more than a modular unit that lets us get more out of every corner of this MPV and that can be removed in just 10 minutes when not needed. As you can see, it includes a small kitchen, a fridge, two 12-litre water tanks and various drawers for storing kitchen utensils and other items. Meanwhile, on the upper part there is a bed measuring 1,950 mm long by 1,400 mm wide, with a mattress divided into three sections and a non-slip lower surface.
