Jaguar F-Type Coupé, first photos

The first images of the Jaguar F-Type Coupé have been revealed after passing through the European patent office. The photographs shown below show in great detail the lines that will shape the hardtop version of the F-Type, the last convertible from Jaguar and the new rival to the Porsche 911.
Compared with the Roadster, the Coupé features an elegant, beautiful sloping roof. This ends in a huge window covering the remaining section of the vehicle’s rear. Widened wheel arches and twin dual exhaust outlets at the rear can also be seen. It is this area of the vehicle that largely recalls the Ferrari Shooting Brake and the BMW Z4 Coupé.

Mechanically, the same number of engines available in the model’s current range is expected to be maintained, although a turbocharged four-cylinder capable of delivering 240 CV to the rear wheels is expected to arrive later. At the start of production, a 340 CV V6 and 380 CV version, along with the 495 CV V8, will bring the F-Type Coupé to life.
The Jaguar F-Type Coupé will go on sale next year after being presented at the 2013 Paris Motor Show, one year after the Roadster version debuted.
