Jaguar introduces the F-Type R AWD Coupé, the all-wheel-drive version of the sports model

It will be at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014, which opens its doors in a few days, that we will be able to see it in detail and learn all its specifications, but we already have the first images and a video of the Jaguar F-Type R AWD Coupé. In other words, the all-wheel-drive version of this model, which receives this update to make it even more appealing.

Jaguar has made a great move in presenting the car, as it unveiled it at the same time it announced its collaboration with the team that will attempt to break the land speed record. The Jaguar F-Type R AWD Coupé will be part of the team and will serve as support for the vehicle that is set to exceed 1,609 km/h.

This is not the case with the Jaguar, which, despite having all-wheel drive, will be a more affordable vehicle in terms of speed. Its performance falls within the normal range, but is still very remarkable. In fact, its top speed reaches 320 km/h and its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.9 seconds, which is not bad at all.

Jaguar cars as a rule have rear-wheel drive, so this all-wheel-drive version has come as quite a surprise. That said, the brand’s own product director, Ian Hoban, asserts that although this will remain in the future because it is the system they prefer, all-wheel drive will be an important addition to this model. According to his words, it will improve control and the driver’s experience behind the wheel.
