LEGO has just unveiled one of its latest creations, James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5. It features countless functions, such as reversible number plates

There are surely countless vehicles that drift through the minds of motor enthusiasts, awakening our greatest desire to do something crazy and buy them but, for better or worse, many of them are out of our reach. Not long ago we saw how LEGO set out to address this problem with a more affordable Bugatti Chiron, but also on a smaller scale, and today they have applied the same formula to the Aston Martin DB5. This iconic vehicle is not only one of the most acclaimed classics, but also the faithful companion on James Bond’s adventures.

The world’s most famous secret agent used to grace the big screen aboard the English sports car, which had a series of features that made it a nightmare for Bond’s enemies. Now, this spectacular car can be ours thanks to LEGO, which has designed it to include the same gadgets as the real vehicle, making the adventure of building it much more fun.

More than 1,200 pieces are responsible for shaping one of the most iconic vehicles driven by Agent 007, which has always been a faithful follower of Aston Martin. This time, LEGO has let us return to our childhood and recreate the DB5 with its impressive arsenal of weapons and features that made sure no one wanted to get close to this classic sports car.

The attention to detail is evident in every corner of this Aston Martin DB5, where you can appreciate its 4.0-litre straight-six engine capable of producing 286 CV of power and 391 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, the engine of this recreation cannot offer us the characteristic metallic melody of the six-cylinder, but it will let us have fun like never before with all the functions installed for James Bond and his missions.

LEGO will allow its users to install the charismatic ejector seat, instant number plate change, bulletproof shield, the two machine guns in the bonnet and the wheel blades, among others. At over 10 centimetres in height, 34 in length and 12 in width, this replica of the Aston Martin DB5 is set to become one of the most sought-after, not only by fans of the model, but also by those who love the James Bond films.

Its price is 149 euros, a more reasonable and affordable figure than the 419 euros the LEGO Bugatti Chiron costs. In this way, our collection of car models can grow considerably with this Aston Martin DB5, which arrives as a faithful recreation of what we once saw on the big screen and commemorates some of the most epic moments of the Agent 007 films.
