Porsche 911 by Singer: this is how impressive the German sports car sounds rolling through Goodwood

Sports car makers don’t discriminate against any model based on its age or status, which makes it possible for us to enjoy numerous models. Singer, one of the most acclaimed tuners in the world, is known for bringing the oldest Porsche 911s back to life while fitting them with components from modern vehicles. However, Singer has managed to carry out this task in a way that respects the essence of the German sports car at all times, something we can perceive in its styling, cabin and sound, which we can appreciate in this impressive video.

Not long ago we witnessed how Singer brought a Porsche 911 964 back to life, which was unveiled exclusively at the 25th edition of the Goodwood Festival. Its styling was respected except for the addition of LED headlights and taillights, which gave the nine-eleven a more contemporary look while keeping its classic spirit intact.

However, Singer is not only known for updating the Porsche 911, but also for offering mechanicals worthy of a contemporary sports car. On this occasion, the American tuner enlisted the help of Williams Advanced Engineering, who collaborated on the development of the engine and other components that enhance the dynamism and efficiency of the 964 on the track.

This very special 911 hides behind its rear a six-cylinder flat engine with 4.0 litres of displacement that delivers 500 CV and a redline at 9,000 rpm. These figures allow the 911 964 to behave like a modern sports car and to put to the test those who consider it an ordinary classic vehicle.

Singer has also made sure to improve other safety aspects with the presence of ABS, stability control and various driving modes, but that is not the topic that really concerns us. The spectacular sound this Singer-built 911 is capable of producing is worth admiring. The melody of its naturally aspirated flat-six will make the skin of a dyed-in-the-wool petrolhead stand on end, since purity and sportiness can be felt everywhere thanks to the exhaust of this work of art on wheels.
