Karma Automotive presents the Amaris, a two-door coupé with a range extender
This coupé is Karma’s new model, a coupé-bodied version the brand plans to launch in 2027, and it will feature a range extender.

Karma has been out of the spotlight for a while, but the brand is still moving forward and is set to surprise with two new models, both powered by an electric drivetrain. These two models feature a range extender system, a solution that increases the distance they can cover and far exceeds what the batteries alone can offer.
The first model is the Karma Gyesera, a saloon, but let’s take a look at the Karma Amaris, the coupé version of this model, with two doors and some rather interesting features that will help it stand out in the market. It takes some design cues from the Geysara, but takes the design further to offer a better and more attractive presence.

To begin with, the doors have gullwing opening, swinging upwards. Furthermore, its lines offer a muscular yet elegant design, so at first glance we can see how it is capable of delivering considerable power and a luxurious style. The Amaris also presents a powerful look at the rear, thanks to the sloping roofline and the visual strength the model gains from its rear bumper.
The Costellation wheels fitted to the model are exclusive to Karma, and its bodywork is made from carbon fibre and aluminium, which gives it greater lightness and keeps its weight from becoming excessive.

A combustion engine to power the electric motor
As for the combustion engine, it will be a turbocharged four-cylinder unit that generates the energy the electric motor needs to move the model. The displacement of this engine has not been made public, but the vehicle’s acceleration has been announced thanks to its electric motor.
According to the brand, the coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and its top speed will reach 266 km/h. It uses the same platform as the brand’s saloon, which in turn is an update of the Karma Revero. The launch of this model was originally planned for 2026, although it has been delayed until 2027.
As for other models, Karma plans to launch a plug-in hybrid model, although it could also be fully electric, which will be called the Karma Ivara GT-UV. Later on it will launch another electric coupé, which is destined to become the brand’s flagship, the Karma Kaveya.
