Kg Mobility Tivoli: this is the new generation of the model under the new brand
Following the brand change from SsangYong to KG Mobility, the model is preparing to reach the global market after its launch in South Korea with an update.

A few weeks ago, SsangYong surprised us by announcing that a change of name for the brand would soon take place. It had been acquired by KG and would be renamed KG Mobility. The change will be rolled out gradually, step by step, starting in the Korean market and ending with a full global switch. The first model to carry the new brand image has already arrived, and we can see the result.
The second generation of the Tivoli has changed completely. It is not just a matter of changing the logo: to shape the new Tivoli, the team worked on designing a vehicle that keeps the spirit of the subcompact SUV. The Tivoli reached the market in 2015 and received a facelift in 2019 that updated it with a few new features. In this second generation, the aim has been to keep the design while offering a more contemporary car.

The first thing one notices on the subcompact SUV is the grille. It is smaller and adds the letters “TIVOLI“. On the central bumper there is a larger air intake, framed by an aluminium trim. The light clusters are similar to those of today, and the bodywork bears a strong resemblance to the outgoing model.

However, 18-inch wheels have been added, along with a redesigned set of side skirts and other details that give the model a more up-to-date look. The SsangYong emblem has disappeared, and to show its belonging to the brand, only the KG Mobility logo remains on the tailgate, at the rear of the car.
As for the interior, the instrument display has been updated, although it keeps a look very similar to the previous Tivoli. It is a 10.25-inch screen which, together with the nine-inch infotainment system display, provides digital information solutions for the driver. The central screen is connected to the Infoconn system.

As for the air conditioning controls, they are now touch-sensitive, and the black leather upholstery features decorative details in several colours, such as orange, two-tone grey and black. It has 7 airbags and 14 ADAS systems, which improve occupant safety.
Engines
As for the engines, it features two non-electrified combustion engines. The naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine of the entry-level version delivers 124 CV and a maximum torque of 155 Nm. The turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol unit is more powerful, producing 161 CV and offering a maximum torque of 260 Nm. Both are paired with the same six-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front axle or to all four wheels via the optional 4WD system.
The KG Mobility Tivoli has already begun its journey on the market in South Korea, where it is being sold at a price of roughly 13,000 euros at current exchange rates. Gradually, it will reach the rest of the markets where it is sold, now under its new name.
