KIA adds Plug&Charge support to the EV6 in the North American market and reduces its price
With more competitive prices, improved standard equipment and a simpler charging experience, KIA strengthens the competitiveness of the EV6, positioning it as one of the most balanced proposals in today’s electric market.
KIA has significantly reduced prices across the entire 2026 EV6 range in the United States and has added new charging features as standard that make everyday use easier. The South Korean manufacturer’s electric crossover is now available in this market from $37,900, making it one of the most accessible options in its segment.
The entry-level version, the EV6 Light SR with rear-wheel drive, starts at the aforementioned $37,900. That is, $5,000 less than it previously cost. Likewise, at the top of the range, the EV6 GT-Line AWD is priced at $53,000, which represents a reduction of $5,900.

“With the repositioning of EV6 prices and the arrival of the EV3 in the North American market, we aim to make electric vehicles more accessible to those who want to adopt a fully electric lifestyle.”
Improvements affecting the charging process
In addition to this price reduction, the 2026 EV6 incorporates important improvements in the area of vehicle charging. This electric crossover now includes as standard a dual-voltage charging cable (Level 1 and 2) on all versions and, additionally, in states that follow California’s ZEV regulations, customers will also receive an adapter for DC fast chargers.
Another notable new feature of the EV6 is compatibility with Plug&Charge technology. Thanks to it, when the vehicle is connected at stations compatible with the KIA Charge Pass service, it will authenticate automatically, with payment handled without the need for additional third-party apps or cards, greatly simplifying the charging process.

Finally, it should be noted that the South Korean manufacturer has removed the optional Tech package from the Light Long Range trim. The aim of this decision is to simplify the offering and make it easier for customers to choose. The mechanics, batteries and charging architecture remain unchanged from the previous model.
