The KIA EV4 is set to be unveiled at the end of February, and for now we are uncovering some of the details that will shape this new model.

The KIA EV4 will be unveiled at the end of February, but the brand has already wanted to show us some details of its design and of important aspects of the model. Among other things, this includes the exterior design, which moves away from the increasingly common SUV look and approaches the appearance of a saloon.
Its size will be between 4.5 and 4.6 metres, a considerable length. This places it between the KIA EV3 and the KIA EV5, so drivers will be able to choose between several sizes within the South Korean brand’s range. It will be available as a saloon and as an estate. The image looks quite familiar and also shows a certain resemblance to the concept model on which it is based.

Among these changes is the bumper , which is slightly different. The wing mirrors are also different and have become something more conventional than what the concept featured. We can also mention the door handles, which are integrated into the door, and the wheels, which are quite similar and keep their 19-inch size.

In the estate version we can find a fairly large tailgate, which hints at a large, high-capacity boot. The aerodynamics are quite striking on this model, and it could be the electric model with the greatest range in the brand’s lineup, thanks to its efficiency.
The interior remains a mystery, although it is expected to feature two screens of 12.3 inches, one for the instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system. In addition, a five-inch screen will be used to control the climate system. The materials present in the cabin are sustainable and come from recycling.
As for its configuration, it is expected to be built on the E-GMP platform. This platform uses a 400-volt architecture, so it will offer a fairly interesting charging capability. It is expected to have a 150 kW motor, equivalent to 204 CV, although there is also expected to be a version with two electric motors and a GT version.
As for the battery, there will be one with a capacity of 58.3 kWh, offering a range of up to 450 kilometres, and a second, larger one with a capacity of 81.4 kWh. With this battery a range of up to 700 kilometres under the WLTP cycle can be achieved.
