Koenigsegg Gemera, the four-seat supercar with a hybrid powertrain
The brand specialising in supercars is launching one of its models with four seats and a hybrid powertrain that delivers 1,714 CV

The presentations that should have taken place at the Geneva Motor Show continue, having been moved to other venues so that all the effort is not lost. This also gives us the chance to see projects like this one, which have a lot to say. It is a new model from Koenigsegg, the small brand specialising in supercars, which has taken a step forward and surprises us with one of these four-seat cars and, moreover, with a hybrid powertrain.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is a car that carries the brand’s DNA, emphasising the ability to offer a powerful, attractive and efficient car with spectacular styling. In addition, it aims to be the first model from the brand with GT capabilities, which makes it a very interesting car.

Innovative powertrain
The powertrain is configured with three electric motors and a combustion engine which together deliver 1,724 CV and a maximum torque of 3,500 Nm. What is interesting about the combustion engine is that it can run on petrol, E85 petrol, ethanol or methanol, which opens up many possibilities for making it a very practical car.

The three electric motors are located on the rear axle. Two of them deliver power to each of the wheels and the third to the crankshaft. Working together, the three deliver 1,115 CV to the system. The Koenigsegg’s range in pure electric mode reaches 50 kilometres, which entitles it to the CERO environmental label from the DGT. Top speed is 300 km/h and, with a 75-litre fuel tank, total range can reach 1,000 kilometres. For its part, the action of the combustion engine raises the output to 1,725 CV.
Four-seat supercar
The supercar presented by the brand has four seats and we can see an interior that is well finished and designed for the driver’s comfort. The screens are an important part of the car’s technology offering, and it has a central screen of considerable size. Rear passengers also have their own screens for digital instrumentation. These are complemented by two small screens that display the images captured by the wing-mirror cameras.
Everything has been thought through in this supercar, as 8 cup holders have been added. Four of them keep drinks cold and four keep drinks hot, so this is a car prepared to carry the driver and two passengers with every comfort. The Koenigsegg Gemera does not have a price yet, but we can already see it and think about which corner of our garage we could park it in.
