Lada Niva Legend Black: The Spartan 4x4 debuts a new version with more equipment and a meaner look
This new version of the legendary Russian off-roader features numerous exclusive design elements and plenty of equipment for less than 10,000 euros

Early this month, the well-known Russian brand Lada unveiled its new version of the Niva. An off-roader that keeps its DNA intact, resting on three fundamental pillars: a simple engine, a design faithful to its ancestor and a truly competitive price.
On top of all this, Lada has decided to give its new version of the model an extra touch, called Lada Niva Legend Black. This extra touch consists of expanded equipment and several design details that give it a more robust look without losing the Spartan essence that has always appealed so much about the model.
Multiple elements in black
From the front, the grille framing its main light units and the bumper guards on its front bumper live up to the “Black” name, giving it a tougher, more characterful look. The same happens from the side view, where this Niva Legend Black sports new five-spoke alloy wheels in black, plus sills, window frames and mirrors also finished in black.

At the rear, we again find a black bumper guard, gills on the C-pillar and mudguards on both the front and rear axles that make clear what this car is built for: covering any rugged terrain for just over 8,500 euros.
Only what’s necessary
The interior, as is to be expected, has no great luxuries, although in this version we highlight seats upholstered with the “Black” name on the backrests and a black roof. Even so, these seats come with heated seats (a key feature given its market) and air conditioning.
With the styling covered, this Niva Legend Black fits a 1.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83 CV and a maximum torque of 129 Nm, all paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and a four-wheel drive system with a low-range transfer case.
As we have already told you, one of the great assets the Niva has had since its launch is its keen price, which remains unchanged to this day. The starting price of this Lada Niva Legend Black is 717,900 Russian rubles, or
8,697 euros at current exchange rates.
