Little by little, factories are returning to normal and resuming operations, something Lamborghini has taken advantage of to announce a new launch that has finally been unveiled: the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder, a rear-wheel-drive model that is a major draw for customers looking for a purer and more fun driving experience, all accompanied by the pleasure of driving with the top down.

Let’s start with its exterior, since the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder has design details that set it apart from its all-wheel-drive sibling. The first of these is at the front, where we can see a new front splitter accompanied by vertical fins that are now larger and framed within the air intakes, while at the rear a new diffuser exclusive to this model has been installed in high-gloss black finish.

As with the all-wheel-drive version, fabric has been used for the roof, which can be chosen in a wide range of colours and blends perfectly with the rest of the lines of the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder. This roof can be folded electronically in 17 seconds, even while moving if we do not exceed 50 km/h, stowing beneath the rear cover, at which point two side wind deflectors also rise, achieving minimal noise inside the cabin and even allowing conversation at high speed.

Mechanically, the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder continues to use the naturally aspirated 5,200 cc V10 engine, delivering 610 CV of power together with 560 Nm of torque, linked to an LDF automatic dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear axle. With this powertrain and these figures it can reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 324 km/h, achieving a power-to-weight ratio of 2.47 kg/CV, partly because the scales read 1,509 kg kerb weight, thanks to the removal of the all-wheel-drive components it no longer needs.

Since it does not offer four-wheel drive, another key protagonist will be the P-TCS traction control, calibrated specifically for this model, capable of providing traction in practically any situation, and working together with the driving modes accessed via the Anima button on the steering wheel. In Strada mode safety and stability are prioritised in any circumstance, managing torque delivery to the rear axle more carefully on low-grip surfaces; in Sport mode rear-wheel spin and slide are permitted, providing greater fun for the driver but always in a controlled manner, as torque control is limited when oversteer increases excessively and rapidly; in Corsa mode greater optimisation of traction and agility on corner exit is sought during extreme driving, improving dynamics without losing speed.

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder is already on sale in the European market, with a starting price set by the brand at €175,838 before taxes.
