Lamborghini Invencible and Autentica: two exclusive one-offs as a farewell to the legendary V12
To mark the arrival of Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar, the Italian firm has unveiled two one-offs as a farewell to its great V12 engine
Hybridisation is about to arrive at the Italian firm: as Lamborghini itself has announced, the launch of its next supercar equipped with a hybrid system is practically imminent, given that in just a few weeks we will be able to see this major launch unveiled.
The arrival of this hybrid era also marks the end of the V12 supercar era that we have enjoyed up to now, and for this Lamborghini has decided to present two exclusive one-offs to pay tribute to its naturally aspirated V12 engine.
Designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile division, the V12 platform was taken as the starting point, paying tribute to masterpieces of Lamborghini design such as the Sesto Elemento, the legendary Reventón and the radical Veneno. As Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Automobili Lamborghini, put it, the design of both one-offs is inspired by the world of racing circuits.

Combining the best of each model
Both the Invencible coupé and the Autentica roadster share the same single-piece carbon-fibre monocoque as the Aventador, along with elements such as the bonnet and the pronounced front splitter of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, an ode to sportiness and aerodynamics.
The hexagon shape remains a major feature of both one-offs, debuting a striking set of LED light units at both front and rear, air intakes very similar to those of the Sesto Elemento, and a triple central exhaust outlet with Inconel tips, a special high-performance steel alloy derived from the aerospace industry.

Focusing on the design of the Invencible coupé, the contrast between the Rosso Efesto red and the multiple carbon-fibre inserts on the door sills, side air intakes and rear engine cover stands out. Likewise, the brake calipers in Rosso Mars, enclosed by carbon-fibre shrouds that ventilate the braking system, are another of the most distinctive features of this one-off.
Moving inside, the cabin of the Invencible is dominated by the body colour red, which makes a striking contrast with the Rosso Alala leather and the Nero Cosmus Alcantara. In addition, the Lamborghini logo that sits on the dashboard has also been painted in the body colour.

More restraint for the Autentica
By contrast, the Autentica roadster features a body in a dark grey colour called Grigio Titans, with matt black details, numerous aerodynamic elements such as a front splitter and a rear wing to optimise downforce, roll-hoop domes that give it a unique profile, and an interior with a very minimalist dashboard, once again embroidered in Giallo Taurus alongside black upholstery.
The heart of the latest cars built by Lamborghini is the 12-cylinder, 6.5-litre engine mounted longitudinally at the rear, which develops 780 CV and a maximum torque of 720 Nm, paired with a seven-speed ISR gearbox, all-wheel drive and the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering system that controls all four wheels.
