Lamborghini Terzo Millennio: the supercar of the future
The Lamborghini Terzo Milenio presents itself as the supercar of the future, featuring an innovative electrification system and a unique body.

Vehicles are evolving more and more and little by little are developing new technologies and different elements. But this is not only happening in everyday cars; it also happens in supercars. This is what Lamborghini wanted to show with the new Terzo Millennio, a concept car that showcases everything new the Italian firm is developing.
Lamborghini wanted to demonstrate what it is capable of with this so futuristic supercar. Although the brand has not yet given up its beloved naturally aspirated engines, it shows that its ability to develop other types of fuel is on a par with any other brand. The new Terzo Millennio is powered by a fully electric motor.
The company from Sant’Agata Bolognese has focused on five elements crucial to the design of the Terzo Millenio: energy, material innovation, power delivery and vehicle architecture, sound and emotion. These five aspects have been carefully developed to offer a unique experience behind the wheel of the Italian supercar.

In the energy section, Lamborghini has opted to use an electrified heart, with the aim of providing its latest creation with all the performance of an electric supercar, but they wanted to take it one step further.
The Italian firm has sought a solution to address certain problems with electrification and improve the energy storage system. To do so, they have installed four supercapacitors inside the Terzo Millennio, with the intention of giving electric motors a new and more efficient experience and leaving traditional batteries aside.

But the innovations don’t end here. The vehicle’s structure is developed -as usual- in carbon fibre to reduce weight, but this is not the interesting part. The new Terzo Millennio features a body full of nanochargers, which not only act as an energy source, but also monitor any type of damage the supercar may suffer.
This is designed so that in the event of an accident, the nanoconductors transmit information about damage the vehicle may have received but which is not visible to the naked eye. There are also two carbon fibre plates, with the intention of reducing damage to zero.
The engineers at Lamborghini wanted to free the vehicle’s structure from any kind of load and thus be able to develop the impressive aerodynamics of the vehicle with complete freedom. To achieve this, the Italians have placed the supercapacitors in the wheels themselves, making the immediate delivery of torque even more so. This has been combined with a spectacular four-wheel drive system, to guarantee optimal safety.
Without a doubt, the new Terzo Millennio arrives as a supercar with impressive innovations that will soon be applied to production vehicles. With all the new systems, Lamborghini seeks to offer a unique experience that is even more impressive than what can be found in its vehicles with a V12 and a V10.
