Lamborghini will present new versions of the Huracán and a successor to the Aventador

The luxury brand has prepared new surprises for the coming years, in the form of more versions of the Huracán and a successor to the formidable Aventador

Lamborghini wants us to feel at ease driving its models, so it has prepared several surprises that will reach us over the coming years. The most immediate one is not really new, since we already know (nearly) everything about the Urus, the luxury brand’s SUV that will arrive next year. But there is much more that makes our mouths water and will make us very excited about the models that are on their way.

Among those surprises, seven new variants of the Huracán will arrive. It is already spectacular in its most basic form, but it will come with new iterations. Among them, the Barchetta version stands out, along with the Speeder. The Superleggera version has also been announced, as well as the SV and other variants such as the GT3 Stradale and a Huracán Targa. Each of these models will have its own characteristics that set it apart from the others.

And, according to what we are told by Carscoops, the Huracán Safari will be the most spectacular of them all. They say it will feature off-road protection, wider wheel arches and adjustable suspension that will allow its ride height to be varied. The four-wheel steering will help keep control of this car, which promises strong emotions to those who choose it.

The other model that will receive special attention will be the successor to the Aventador. This model, which will make us forget all the features of this phenomenal car, is presumably due in 2020. We do not yet know the name it will carry on its bodywork, but we know it seeks to be more powerful than its predecessor and that it will use a 7.0-litre V12 engine delivering 800 CV. But this will not be the only option available.

There is talk of the possibility that it will have a top-of-the-range version that will feature two electric motors linked to the rear wheels, raising the combined power to 1,000 CV and the maximum torque to 1,198 Nm. But some people think this is outrageous, so there will also be a version available that will be limited to “only” 700 CV.

The Huracán is also due for a replacement, although this will arrive in a few years and the only thing expected of it is that it will use an engine of Porsche origin. It would be a 4.0-litre V8 engine offering around 650 CV, with a more powerful version that could reach 900 CV.
