Land Rover will arrive in 2017 with many changes for the Range Rover

The year 2017 is already coming into view on the horizon, and manufacturers are preparing their entry into it with plenty of new features. Jaguar Land Rover has just announced all the new features we can expect in one of its most important models in its lineup, the Range Rover. New equipment, a higher-spec top-of-the-range version and, above all, a new engine that joins the existing ones to give this vehicle everything it needs to remain one of the most attractive on the market.

The unit being added to the range is a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 that we can already see in the Jaguar F-Type. This engine will fill the gap between the diesel V6 and V8 options. It delivers a power output of 335 CV and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

More equipment

In the SVAutobiography variant we find a new top-of-the-range model, named Dynamic, which continues to use the powerful 5.0-litre supercharged V8 also found in the Sport SVR, which cuts acceleration to 5.1 seconds. Compared with the model it is based on, it has a body 8 mm lower, and its chassis has been tuned to offer a better driving experience.

More technological equipment for one of the brand’s most popular carsWhen it comes to technology, the Range Rover will see its equipment level increase, with new additions. Among them is an automatic speed control system, based on reading the traffic signs it detects along the road. The Driver Condition Monitor and Blind Spot Assist have also been added, improving driving conditions.

The information and entertainment system from Jaguar Land Rover, known as InControl Touch Pro, will also be present in the car, with a 10-inch touchscreen, and includes InControl Remote Premium. This system allows the smartphone to be used to control functions such as seat heating and the climate control, among other things.

The navigation system in the 2017 update of the Range Rover will be integrated, but it can also work together with the mobile phone to make it easier to use. Although we already know what’s new for next year, what remains pending is the final price of the Range Rover models with these improvements, but we will not have to wait long to receive that information.
