Leaked! The Dacia Bigster is eager to reach the market
The Dacia Bigster, due to reach the market in 2022, has been leaked. Here is what we know about it.

The Dacia Bigster has become one of the most anticipated models of the moment. The one that will become the brand’s mid-size SUV promises to revolutionise the segment, and now a leak has given us a little more insight. Luca de Meo is an expert at taking brands to their highest level, and he is gradually proving it.
There is still quite some time until the official presentation of the mid-size SUV from Dacia, but we can already tell you what the Dacia Bigster will look like. The production model bears a strong resemblance to the concept we saw a few weeks ago. The front is bold and features a rather original grille that incorporates the brand emblem and frames the innovative LED light units. The metal protections on the lower part of the front and the small side vents, styled like Air Curtains and designed to improve aerodynamics, stand out noticeably.

Dacia Bigster, is it getting closer?
On the sides, the new mid-size SUV from Dacia stands out for its muscular, sculpted shapes. As we already saw on the concept, the door handles are hidden, which gives the model a more sporty character. Off-road touches such as the roof bars, the mirrors and the plastic wheel-arch protectors give the model a more striking look, not to mention the two-tone five-spoke alloy wheels.
At the rear, the concept’s lines are reproduced, with a fairly large spoiler, inverted Y-shaped taillights and a very wide tailgate. The lower protections add an adventurous touch and make the model much more dynamic. Everything points to the future Dacia Bigster possibly being powered by a 1.3-litre three-cylinder TCe petrol engine with several power outputs, and even with e-Tech hybrid systems.
The Dacia Bigster will be based on the CMF-B platform, the same one that underpins the Renault Clio, the Renault Captur, the Renault Arkana and even the Nissan Juke. This mid-size SUV from Dacia will measure 4.60 metres in length and have seating for seven passengers, and it could compete with the Citroën C5 Aircross, the Ford Kuga, the Hyundai Tucson, the Kia Sportage, the Peugeot 5008 and even the Volkswagen Tiguan. That said, we will have to wait until 2022 to see it.
