Lincoln and Rivian join forces to create an electric SUV
The two brands have begun a joint journey to shape an SUV that will combine the best of both brands and pave the way for Lincoln’s electrification

Lincoln has set out to take a step forward and prepare a fully electric model, which places it among the brands that are firmly betting on this type of mobility. And the subsidiary of Ford does not want to do it alone, so it has sought out a partner that knows this market and wants to bet as strongly as possible on the presence of electric vehicles in the American market. And that partner has been Rivian.
The union of both brands will allow the use of the platform of Rivian to create an electric vehicle under the Lincoln banner that will be based on the technology of the first brand’s models and create a car that can be marketed under the iconic American badge.

The brands have not yet wanted to reveal any details about the new model, but they assure that it will be something very different from the Rivian SUV. That said, they assure that it is an “impressive” project and that it will leave no one indifferent. They have also stated that it will feature “advanced and intuitive technologies” and the driving capability that is innate in Lincoln models.
It has not been confirmed whether it will be a crossover or an SUV, but it should be noted that Lincoln has made a strong entry into this segment thanks to models such as the Aviator, the Corsair and the Navigator. These SUVs have helped the brand’s sales increase by 7% over the last year. With these figures, it has achieved its best SUV sales figure in the last 16 years.
The partnership with Rivian will take Lincoln to another level, introducing the brand into the electric market, where the absence of emissions will be combined with connectivity technology at another level, with intuitive and simple use. All with the touch of Lincoln’s elegance and finishes, so we can expect a fairly spectacular and interesting model from this fusion of style and technology.
