Manthey-Racing's kit for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 991.2 is now a reality

Manthey-Racing’s package of dynamic and aerodynamic upgrades takes the extreme capabilities of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 991.2 to new heights, making it the king of track days

Porsche 911 Gt3 Rs Mr 003 (1)
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS, together with the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, represents the most extreme expression of the most exciting variants of the immortal ‘911’, and when tightening a bolt a quarter turn further can mean crossing the invisible line between sanity and madness, specialists such as Manthey-Racing are happy to go the full distance to drive owners of these cars completely crazy, crazy with happiness, for example, on a day of circuit sessions, or track day.

Because the Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR is none other than the twin brother of that Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR which managed to take the crown as the fastest road-legal car, that is, registered for public roads rather than a production model, faster around the Nürburgring circuit, since that vehicle, like this one, features a package of upgrades that enhance the car.

Thus, this Manthey Racing kit for the Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS focuses on those elements that can be enhanced and modified, all except the engine block, which keeps its configuration and standard specifications intact.

The upgrade package for the Porsche 911 replaces the original wheels with optional, fully enclosed magnesium wheels that hide an exclusive brake disc and pad system, and which are supported by a specific threaded suspension with adjustable damping.

On this basis, the upgrade to the aerodynamics, and also, why not, the styling, includes new appendages such as the flaps on the front bumper and the side skirts but, above all, a dual-element rear assembly where the new upper spoiler, which is spectacular on the original already, is colossal.

In more detail, in the following video, Manthey-Racing specifies the modifications which, we hope and assume, will already have been quantified in the form of a lap time set on track, specifically at the aforementioned circuit in Nürburg, where, incidentally, it is not only the undisputed master of the record lap time for registered cars but also one of the most decorated teams in the endurance championship held at the German track, with its headquarters located near the Green Hell.
