Maserati Grecale Lumina Blu, a special edition to boost Italian luxury SUV

In an attempt to give a boost to the brand’s low sales, Maserati launches the eye-catching Lumina Blu special edition for the Grecale

Stellantis has several fronts open that it needs to resolve as quickly as possible if it doesn’t want the wolves to come after it, and one of them, quite a dangerous one, is Maserati. The Italian luxury brand is not going through good times, with sometimes incomprehensible back-and-forth in its projects, something also reflected in a sales share that fell in 2024 and has continued to fall in 2025.

The predicament Stellantis faces with Maserati has no immediate solution, but it does require measured steps, and in the meantime what Maserati is doing is trying to boost sales of its most successful model, the Grecale, which was lightly updated last spring and now regains prominence through the new Lumina Blu special edition, based on the Modena version.

With the Grecale Lumina Blu, Maserati has tried to make its luxury SUV attract even more attention, and to do so they have applied to its bodywork the new Night Interaction colour, a metallic double-layer tone that suits it perfectly and serves to highlight its sculptural lines with an elegance only the Italians know how to achieve. This tone is combined with the Pegaso model alloy wheels in 21-inch size, behind which hide the yellow brake calipers, a colour that also makes an appearance on the Trident badge located on the C-pillar.

Maserati has managed to create a perfect colour combination for the Grecale Lumina Blu, and the interior upholstery in chocolate colour suits it like a glove, with first-class leather, although optionally the brand also lets you choose premium Ghiaccio leather. All of this is in turn combined with the inserts running through the interior in open-pore Burl wood, while the sporty and discordant note is provided by the sport pedals made of steel.

To this spectacular and tremendously elegant colour combination we must add the equipment of the Modena version which, as I told you earlier, is the one taken as the reference for this Lumina Blu special edition, and we therefore find standard equipment that includes, among others, elements such as the following:

  • Panoramic roof
  • Electric tailgate with motion sensor
  • 12-way electric front seats with heating and cooling (or 14-way with first-class Ghiaccio leather)
  • Heated steering wheel
  • 360° surround-view camera
  • Tinted rear windows
  • Matrix LED headlights

Mechanically, the Maserati Grecale Lumina Blu is paired with the mild-hybrid technology engine, consisting of a 2,000 cc petrol unit that generates 330 CV of power and 450 Nm of torque, figures that allow it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 240 km/h. With this configuration it certifies a combined consumption of 9.0 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 203 g/km.
