Maserati unveils the definitive livery of its single-seater for Formula E
The trident brand has fully revealed the Maserati Tipo Folgore Gen3 livery, the single-seater with which it will make its debut this year in Formula E

The Maserati MSG Racing team presented yesterday the livery of its Maserati Tipo Folgore Gen3, the first 100% electric racing car in the history of the trident, which will make its debut in the ninth season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The unveiling took place on the streets of Modena, the birthplace of Maserati, with the aim of bringing racing back to the heart of the Italian city after several decades during which the trident brand was completely detached from motorsport.
Its outfit
Focusing on its design, the major novelty of the single-seater is that Maserati has decided to dress its Tipo Folgore Gen3 in the iconic blue of the trident, combined with a dark black for the side of its bodywork. Its livery has been created by Maserati with the aim of achieving a more modern and pure look, with the Maserati Corse logo and the Italian tricolour flag on both sides of the front of its chassis.

The Maserati Tipo Folgore Gen3 is presented as the latest in high-performance electrification, efficiency and cutting-edge technology, which, thanks to the “Race Beyond” platform on which it is built, will allow that innovation to be transferred to the production models of the trident brand.
A technical marvel
The new Maserati single-seater will be the fastest and most efficient Formula E car the brand has ever produced, since its front and rear powertrains generate a combined power of 600 kW of regenerative power and an energy efficiency of 95%, which means that more than 40% of the energy used in the race will come solely from regenerative braking.
The next event the new Tipo Folgore Gen3 will face will be in Valencia, where pre-season testing will begin before the first race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, on 14 January 2023, kicking off the 19-race calendar that makes up the Formula E season.
