McLaren presents an electric version of the 720S... a toy for the little ones?
The electric McLaren 720S presented by the British firm is a scaled-down version of its supercar
For many, cars have been childhood toys. But what happens when you grow up? Well, cars remain toys.
From model making and radio control, through cars prepared for competition or occasional use in sessions, not forgetting everyday cars, sporty or not, for many people, cars remain our greatest entertainment.
That is why McLaren shows us its electric sports car in reduced size and performance, but it is no less elegant or eye-catching and, above all, fun.

Fun for all audiences because, as we see in the video, with a little skill, this toy car can be a source of dispute between adults and children alike.
McLaren wants to reach its younger followers with this toy, and in principle this car is aimed at users aged between 3 and 6 years old.
This is the second car of these characteristics that McLaren has put on sale; the first was the scaled-down version of the extraordinary McLaren P1 in 2016.
A faithful version of the original
Manufactured by the specialist Ride-On, these cars replicate the real car as faithfully as possible. Available in seven colours: Azores Orange, Belize Blue, Lantana Purple, Onyx Black, Mauvine Blue, Silica White or Saros Grey,
The car starts operating once the ignition key is turned. Inside, you can find elements similar to the real one, such as an infotainment system with a functional button panel.
On the instrument panel, the screen displays key information designed to encourage safe driving habits in children.
But, without doubt, the most attractive aspect of its operation is that this McLaren 720S has an electric motor that emits the sound of a petrol car’s engine as pressure is applied to the accelerator.
In addition, it can be controlled remotely as a preventive measure, allowing parental control of this toy.
An affordable indulgence
While it is true that it is not a cheap toy, from £315 at the current exchange rate, 350 euros. Who could not buy themselves a full-fledged McLaren 720S? Whether for a child or for the big kid that, they say, we all carry inside.
