Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance F1 Edition: showcasing technology
With its 843 hp hybrid propulsion system, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S e Performance in its F1 Edition version showcases the technology transfer from the Formula 1 team

What a pace they’re setting at Mercedes-AMG with the presentation of new products to celebrate AMG’s 50th anniversary. And there’s more to come… But for now, take a look at the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S e Performance in this special F1 Edition, the most powerful production model in the German brand’s lineup, which sports more “muscle” and showcases the technology transfer derived from competition.
Let’s recall that the GT 63 S e Performance uses a plug-in hybrid propulsion system with the AMG High Performance battery which, according to the brand, draws on the experience of the Formula 1 team Mercedes. The combustion engine is a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 640 hp, which, with the help of a 205 hp electric motor, reaches a system output of 620 kW, that is, a whopping 843 hp. Its performance is, of course, impressive: 2.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, and a top speed of 316 km/h.
Special F1 Edition: the most exclusive
The “Alpine grey Manufaktur” bodywork colour with the AMG logo fading from grey to black on the sides and red contrast accents are among the hallmarks of this special F1 Edition, which also features 21-inch AMG wheels with a 5-double-spoke design finished in matt black with a red rim, repeating the pattern that identifies the brand’s safety car used in F1.

In addition, an aerodynamic package specially developed in the wind tunnel is included to improve high-speed efficiency and increase downforce without compromising drag. The fixed rear wing is part of this package, which also includes an optimised diffuser, deflectors on the rear fins, a larger front splitter and deflectors on the front air intakes and wheel arches. Other elements of this edition are the AMG Night packages, which add a gloss black finish to many exterior and interior elements. Inside, the AMG Performance seats and steering wheel are upholstered in exclusive fine Nappa leather in black with contrasting red stitching. As with the commemorative special editions G-Class Edition 55 and CLA Edition 55, a protective vehicle cover is included, which in this case carries the F1 logo.
The price on the Spanish market of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S e Performance starts at 230,000 euros. In Germany, the F1 Edition can be ordered for an extra charge of 23,800 euros.
