Mercedes Mercedes-Benz G-Class 100% electric: all-terrain capabilities with EQ technology and 473 km of range
Mercedes has taken care to preserve the philosophy and characteristics of the legendary G-Class, adopting electrification and improvements in inclination capability, stability and fording depth

In an advertisement that transports us into the future, Mercedes-Benz presents the brand’s first all-terrain electric vehicle, the new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ technology. A launch that demonstrates that Mercedes is capable of anything and that, within its EQ family, there is also room for off-roaders like this new EQG.

It has been given an unmistakable silhouette and an angular design that has defined generations, with the aim of keeping the philosophy and characteristics of the G-Class intact. As all-terrain capabilities merge with electric innovation, the electric G-Class delivers exceptional performance and unlimited personalisation thanks to its MANUFAKTUR range, which offers incredible customisation options.

All-terrain functions for the EQ family
The new electric G-Class not only retains the legendary all-terrain capability of its predecessor, but improves on it. With an inclination capability of up to 100% on suitable surfaces and exceptional stability on side slopes of up to 35 degrees, plus a fording depth increased to 850 mm, it outperforms its conventional-drivetrain counterparts.

Up to 470 km of range
Equipped with a large battery paired with four individually controlled electric motors, the new G 580 unleashes a maximum output of 588 CV (432 kW). These motors, strategically located close to the wheels, allow unmatched manoeuvrability, with unique driving characteristics including the ability to turn on the spot and a reduced turning radius to easily negotiate obstacles.

Integrating an advanced high-voltage lithium-ion battery into the chassis ensures a central weight position, improving the vehicle’s stability. This battery, with an effective capacity of 116 kWh, offers an impressive range of up to 473 kilometres according to WLTP tests2.
Distinctive design for a legend
At first glance, the new electric G-Class stands out as a member of the prestigious G family, but with several features of the EQ family. It presents a series of distinctive traits that set it apart from its combustion-engine predecessors, such as an optional new radiator grille in black and aerodynamic details such as “air curtains” in the rear wheel arches. This vehicle embodies the evolution of all-terrain design.

Equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment technology, ambient lighting and a luxurious nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, the G 580 offers an incomparable driving experience from the moment you enter the cabin, with additional features such as the Burmester® 3D surround sound system and equipment options such as the OFFROAD COCKPIT.
Price and availability
The new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ technology will be available from €142,621.50 in Germany, so its price will not vary much on the Spanish market.
