They are fashionable, and more so every day. Pick-ups are occupying a space that used to belong to SUVs, and their versatility makes them more practical for work but also for those who enjoy their free time in the countryside. That is why pick-up models keep appearing, and existing ones are being updated to be even more attractive. This is the case of the Mitsubishi L200, which is renewed for 2019 and whose presentation has been carried out by the Japanese brand.

It has been almost 40 years since one of the most popular Japanese pick-ups first appeared, and the time has come for it to receive a renewal of its look and equipment. This is a trend that is making these vehicles increasingly attractive. In the case of the Mitsubishi L200, its styling is renewed with a design closer to the rest of the Japanese brand’s most recent models.

On the outside, you can find a set of smaller LED headlights placed in a horizontal position. The lights also change at the rear, and the bonnet has a more powerful look with a more muscular style. The wheel arches also offer a change from the current model and help add more style to the overall image of the pick-up.

As for technological equipment, Mitsubishi wants to enhance on-board safety, which is why this model features more active safety elements. Thus, we can find systems such as emergency assisted braking via ultrasonic sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, hill descent control, and three driving modes with off-road applications that help it move over difficult terrain: Sand, Mud and Gravel.

There is no news about the engines this new version will use, so it is expected to keep the same engines as the current version. These powertrains may have some modifications, although it is certain that the current five-speed gearbox will be replaced by a six-speed one. The Mitsubishi L200 will arrive on the international market in the coming weeks, so we will not have to wait long to see it in Spain.
