More recalls, this time for the Ford Ka

Although the recall is not in our country, but in two of the great South American countries (Brazil and Argentina), it seems that calling cars in for recall is becoming fashionable. It may not be that it is becoming fashionable, but rather that now that the hare has been started with the persecution of Toyota the authorities are increasingly fine-tuning.
It is not normal; a few years ago a model would come out from time to time that had to go to the workshop, and it was painful for the company that suffered it. Today many brands have already had recall calls. Regarding this Ford Ka, the affected units number around 20,000.
The recall is due to a problem with the electrical ignition, which could cause the start of a fire in the vehicle. The affected units are those manufactured between 27 November 2007 and 31 January 2010, both with the 1.0 and 1.6 engines.
According to the manufacturer, the vehicles’ wiring must be checked because “it could rub against the bodywork in some cases, which could thus cause system failures and, in extreme cases, cause the start of a fire in the engine compartment“.
