New EuroNCAP results: only the Toyota Verso earns five stars

Euroncap

The last time news arrived from EuroNCAP about tests on a large group of models, practically all of them earned the coveted five stars. But this time, of the five models that went through the European body’s tests, only the Toyota Verso achieved five stars (a relief for the Japanese brand).

The Seat Exeo, Nissan Cube and Kia Venga only obtained four stars, and finally we have the improvable results of the Citroën Nemo, which only earned three stars. Furthermore, during the tests carried out by EuroNCAP on the Kia Venga, a problem was detected with the seatbelt, which deteriorated below the seat.

Kia wasted no time and has already recalled 1,100 units of the Kia Venga that had been delivered to private owners, as well as the inspection of the same number of units held by dealerships. Looking at the results, it seems the brands have lowered their guard with the tests, and in the case of the Seat Exeo, the results of the previous-generation Audi A4, which also had four stars (2001), have not changed.
