The 2014 Paris Motor Show will be the stage where Infiniti will unveil its new prototype, the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration. We had only seen a small teaser showing its silhouette, and now a new image has been published that reveals a little more.

A few days ago we saw the first image of the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration, a concept car that the brand will present at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, which opens on 4 October in the French capital. Infiniti’s idea is to produce a rival worthy of competing with the Mercedes CLS, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé and the Audi A7.

This new image shows that it will be a four-door coupé with a low height from the ground. Although it is still a prototype, it is no secret that Infiniti is willing to take this concept into production as soon as it can. It will not be exactly the same as the model presented, but it will have a lot in common with it.

The final dimensions of the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration have been revealed. It measures 5,052 mm in length, 1,350 mm in width and 2,027 mm in height. These dimensions make it 112 mm longer, 146 mm wider and 66 mm lower than the Mercedes CLS, and its wheelbase of 3,103 mm is also 256 mm longer than that of the CLS. The concept uses 22-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which could be smaller if it goes into production.

We only have this image, which offers a rear view of the concept. We can clearly see the roofline, which flows into the boot. We can also notice the absence of door handles and wing mirrors. The rear doors will open in the opposite direction to the front ones and there will be no centre pillar, so users will be able to get in and out more easily.

It will have four individual seats for the greater comfort of its occupants, and a hybrid propulsion system whose details are unknown but which we know will be quite powerful. They have also announced that aluminium and carbon fibre have been used for the bodywork and structure, along with an adaptive suspension system. We will learn the remaining details at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
