New Maserati GranTurismo: three versions with up to 760 CV and a design with an unmistakable DNA
The popular coupé from the trident brand arrives with two petrol versions of 490 and 550 CV and with its Folgore version, the fully electric version of 760 CV

The origin of the Maserati GranTurismo, one of the most iconic models of the Italian brand, dates back 75 years, when the Maserati A6 1500 arrived, a model that featured a coupé body and a design far ahead of its time, and which became the forerunner of other legendary models such as the 3500 GT, the 5000 GT and the Sebring.
Now, the trident brand has just unveiled the latest generation of its GranTurismo coupé, under the premise of creating a vehicle that combined the high performance typical of a sports car with a comfort suited to covering long distances, while also being a historic moment for the brand, as the new GranTurismo Folgore becomes the first car of the brand with a 100% electric propulsion system.
A continuity of design
Starting with its design, the Maserati engineers have chosen to retain many of the features that characterised the previous generation. A model that, even 15 years after its launch, still looks modern and timeless, with a long bonnet with pronounced wheel arches, a stylised cabin with a very raked A-pillar and a high, muscular hip line.

From the front view, the new coupé features new light units with a shape very similar to those of the MC20, a large grille with the trident inserted in the centre and a bonnet with two creases that give it a very aerodynamic appearance.
On its side, the brand’s characteristic air intakes and the trident on the C-pillar are present, which, together with the flush door handles and the new 21-inch wheels at the rear and 20-inch at the front, accentuate the smoothness of the new GranTurismo’s lines.

At the rear, the main protagonists are its sharp horizontal LED tail lights, the small spoiler and the four exhaust outlets for the Trofeo version, and the sporty diffuser integrated in the centre, which complete the attractive image of the model.
Interior yet to be revealed
As for the interior of the new GranTurismo, we only know that it will feature the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) system, consisting of a 12.3-inch central screen, an 8.8-inch auxiliary screen and a fully digital 12.2-inch instrument cluster.

The Maserati team wanted to highlight the “complete sound experience” of its interior, made up of the characteristic sound of its engine, whether the V6 Nettuno or the electric motor of the Folgore (developed by the Maserati Innovation Lab). The new GranTurismo also features the Sonus faber 3D immersive sound system, which consists of 19 speakers and 3D sound with an output of up to 1,195 W.
Two petrol versions and one fully electric
The GranTurismo range will consist of the Modena version, which features the 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo producing 490 CV, the Trofeo version, which uses the same engine but delivers 550 CV, and finally the Folgore version, which has a propulsion system with a 92.5 kWh battery and up to 760 CV with Formula E technology, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
For the time being, Maserati has decided not to give any details about its price, dealership arrival or interior, so we will have to wait to learn more.
