New Opel Corsa now with LPG

Opel presents the cleanest model in the new Corsa range. The new Opel Corsa 1.4 LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) ecoFLEX produces 90 CV and leaves the factory with the bi-fuel system already installed, starting at a price from €11,900. This vehicle is especially aimed at customers who are conscious of running costs, and this latest member of the Corsa family is an ideal option in the small car segment, as LPG customers benefit from several advantages.
Using this fuel, the new Corsa has a combined consumption of 6.9 litres per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 113 g per km, which makes it around 13% more efficient than when running on petrol. Nitrogen oxide emissions are up to 80% lower according to the manufacturer’s data.
Fuel costs are reduced by almost 52% compared with petrol. This major saving is due to the difference in taxation established for alternative fuels until 2018. The manufacturer also assures that this comparative advantage of alternative fuels will be maintained beyond that year, both in Spain and across Europe.

The driver can switch between petrol and LPG at the press of a button. A control module enables the most efficient synchronisation when switching between the two fuels. This means that, using both tanks, the range can reach up to 1,200 kilometres before needing to stop for refuelling. Both the range and the fuel consumption for each fuel can be viewed separately, as well as combined on the on-board computer, which is genuinely useful.
The LPG tank is located in the spare wheel well in the boot, maintaining exactly the same interior space as the rest of the Corsa models.
As for equipment, the Opel Corsa 1.4 LPG retains the option of fitting driver assistance systems, such as City mode, heated steering wheel, parking assistant or the IntelliLink multimedia system with a 7-inch colour touchscreen.
