The new ŠKODA Scout is made for adventurers to enjoy. This crossover offers exceptional driving performance even on uneven roads. Furthermore, it features powerful four-wheel drive and a robust off-road look.

This extremely versatile estate with off-road capability is based exclusively on the Octavia Combi and will go on sale in Spain in September 2014. Three engines will be offered, up to 20% more eco-friendly, with the 2.0 engine producing 184 CV with DSG and 4×4 traction debuting. It will also use ultra-modern four-wheel drive technology based on the innovative Haldex-5 clutch.

Regarding its exterior, we see a distinctive front bumper specific to the Scout with black synthetic mouldings, and with a silver off-road application on the lower part, as well as its rear section painted silver in the middle. Its sharp-edged embossed fog lights are also exclusive to the Scout design; furthermore, the aluminium-effect roof bars are optional.

The ground clearance of the new Skoda Scout has been raised to 171 millimetres, 31 millimetres higher than the standard Octavia, so adventurers can cross the most difficult terrain. In addition, it comes as standard with an additional underbody protection package, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels with 220/50 R17 tyres.

The dashboard is available in classic black or in a black and brown combination, while the seats are available in brown fabric or in leather/Alcantara combination, which can be black or brown.

The passenger compartment is one of the largest in its class, with optimised interior length (1,782 mm), rear legroom (73 mm) and front and rear headroom (983 and 995 mm, respectively). The boot has a capacity of 610 litres, and with the rear seats folded down it reaches 1,740. When the front passenger seat is folded down, objects up to 2.92 metres long can be carried.

The ŠKODA Scout is available in the full Octavia colour range, which includes four non-metallic colours, including the new Laser White, and nine metallic colours.

The new Scout offers Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC), which can be adjusted to suit specific driving conditions at the touch of a button.
