Nico Rosberg shows us how to drive a Ferrari on a track. The former Formula 1 driver puts the Ferrari 488 Pista to the test on the Paul Ricard circuit in his latest video. It is worth noting that the Formula 1 World Champion was impressed by the result.

After winning the Formula 1 title with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas car in 2016, Nico Rosberg announced his retirement from the world of competition and turned his life around to focus on other projects, quite different from what we are used to seeing from him.

So much so that he decided to open a YouTube channel, to which he devotes a good deal of time. He publishes many videos on the channel, but the latest one caught our attention in particular, in which he shows us how to drive a Ferrari on a track: specifically the Ferrari 488 Pista on the Paul Ricard circuit.

After putting it to the test, Nico Rosberg, the former German Formula 1 driver, had a great time on the French track. Besides the huge smile on Rosberg’s face, he wanted to highlight the exceptional performance of the supercar, its balance, agility and power, not to mention the ultra-fast shifts of the GeTrag sequential gearbox.

The former Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 driver stated that the twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 engine of the Ferrari is the best he has tried in a road car. It is worth noting that this unit produces 720 CV of power and 770 Nm of peak torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds, and reaches 200 km/h in 7.6 seconds. As for top speed, the Cavallino Rampante reaches 340 km/h.

In addition, the new bodywork of the Ferrari 488 Pista generates 20% more downforce thanks to a series of specific features such as the so-called S-duct at the front, the much larger rear wing, the side air intakes and the larger rear diffuser.

It is important to point out that the Ferrari 488 Pista is 90 kilograms lighter than the standard Ferrari 488 GTB. This is due to a series of improvements made to the model and to the carbon fibre wheels that can be chosen as an option when purchasing the supercar.
